Tofigh Hasen Nezhad Nisi is a researcher in Tax Law and has been affiliated with the GLOBTAXGOV Research Project and the Tax Law Department of the Institute for Tax and Economics at Leiden University since 2024.
He has given guest lecturers at the course Comparative Tax Law and other courses at Leiden Law School. He conducts research on international and comparative tax law, with particular attention to the implementation of international tax frameworks and the role of digital developments in shaping the field. His work includes the integration of emerging technologies within tax administrations, such as the use of artificial intelligence, alongside the implications of data protection and privacy rights for administrative tax law, with a focus on taxpayer rights.
As of 1 September 2025, Tofigh is also a Tax Talent Trainee at the Dutch Ministry of Finance and Tax Administration.
