Marlies van Eck is Assistant Professor Digital Government at eLaw Institute in Leiden University and consultant. She worked at the CIO-office in the Netherlands Tax Administration when she conducted the research for her Ph.D. thesis “Automated Chain Decision Making and Legal Protection” at Tilburg University. Her areas of expertise are administrative law, technology and the daily execution of governmental tasks.
