Giovana Portolese worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the GLOBTAXGOV project at Leiden University’s Institute for Tax Law and Economics (2019 -2010). She holds a PhD in European Tax Law from the University of Bologna and has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of taxation in Brazil with the Federal Tax and Customs Administration. Within the GLOBTAXGOV research project, she investigated the role of the European Union in the making of supranational and international tax law, in the respect of EU countries.
